- : This is probably the single most overlooked problem with A3000 SCSI setup
- : and may be the reason some people belive A3000 SCSI setups are flaky.
-
- No, the flakiness is due to the age of the machine & on some, possibly
- incorrectly placed diodes. I almost burned some traces off my motherboard
- recently trying to figure out why a seagate SCSI2 drive would hang my
- bus, itself, or both when writing & low-level formatting. There are some
- major compatibility problems in my experience that probably came close to
- destroying my system, fortunately I am familiar with the smell of burning
- phenolic! ;^]
